Future architects visited Baku White City
11.02.2019Recently the project "Winter School 2019", organized by the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, took place. A delegation of 40 students and teachers from universities of Kyrgyzstan, Slovakia and Russia attended lectures by teachers of the AASU architecture department and familiarized themselves with ancient and modern architectural monuments of Baku.
During the visit, an excursion on Baku White City project was organized. Here, the participants of the Winter School were informed about the analysis of transport, infrastructure and construction of large cities in the design process of Baku White City by world architectural companies. Posters reflecting the former contaminated areas of the Black City and the process of their cleaning and redevelopment were presented to students. Project experts answered students' questions.
Then students visually familiarized themselves with the architecture of Baku White City during the walk at quarters.
